Inspiration:        Inspired by the Japanese culture who associate Koi with perseverance in adversity

                            and strength of purpose. Koi stands for courage and the ability to attain high goals; 

                            others say it means good luck or fortune.

Technique:        Pit fired, sagger raku and high fire stoneware. Each Koi is individually hand-sculpted

                           to create a sense of movement. Each lava rock is individually hand sculpted to create

                           a flowing stream.

Colors:               Multi-colored

Price:                 $700 per Koi; rocks vary; $45,000 for the wall sculpture pictured above
