Title: “Last Tree Standing”
Year: 2014
Medium: Ceramic
Description: Sculpture
Dimensions: 24x 10 x 7 in.

Inspiration: My work is often inspired by nature related themes. Every two seconds a forest the
size of a football field is destroyed. At this pace, the deforestation of the world’s rain
forests will vanish in 100 years which will greatly affect climate change and disruption
to the ecological system.
"Last Tree Standing” is a testament to the rain forests. Deforestation will accelerate
climate change with devastating results globally.

glazed, various stains and oxides, applied kiawe tree ash and electric fired in an
oxidation atmosphere.
