Inspiration:     Using clay slabs as a canvas with a 2D approach and a 3D ending. The bonus is having

                         the additional surface area to work with. The trade off is that large slabs have a very

                         low survival rate due to the stresses from heating and cooling. When you achieve both

                         survival and color success, then the work is often revered as, "A jewel of the fire."

Technique:     High fired stoneware, rolled slab, design impressions made from found objects, altered,

                        various oxides, Shino glazed, gas fired in a reduction atmosphere.
